Using Porter’s Diamond Model to Assess the Competitiveness of Taiwan’s Solar Photovoltaic Industry

In this study, we use six dimensions (i.e., firm strategy; government, structure, and rivalry; demand conditions; chance; factor related/supporting industries) based on Porter’s diamond model to identify critical development indicators enhance the competitiveness of Taiwan’s solar photovoltaic industry. Our proposed industry evaluation uses decision-making trial laboratory (DEMATEL) technique establish an influential relationship between indicators, DEMATEL-based analytic network process obtain weights, modified VIšekriterijumsko Kompromisno Rangiranje (VIKOR) method assess performance gaps. Through analysis, current demands can be clarified, operations governments firms improved by limiting developmental gaps formulating robust policies strategies. Furthermore, map weights help explain complex assessment system suggest priorities for improvement. The results demonstrate that should upgraded in following order priority: industries. We also discuss implications management.
